Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are made of a synthetic fiber that stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the skin, improving its condition. The skin becomes visibly smoother and healthier, wrinkles disappear, and the facial oval becomes more defined. Tissues that sag with age are strengthened, resulting in a skin lift.
The threads inserted under the skin dissolve completely after completing their task: stimulating collagen and elastin. The dissolution time is 180 to 210 days. Polydioxanone is atraumatic, tissue-neutral, and has neither pyrogenic nor antigenic properties.
A PDO thread lifting treatment is safe, requires no special preparation, and produces virtually immediate results. The treatment can be repeated; there are no incisions or scars on the skin. The patient does not feel the threads after the procedure.
The treatment is performed after the age of 30, with no upper age limit. It can be used, among other things, for horizontal and vertical forehead wrinkles, the outer edges of the eyebrows (drooping), under-eye bags, cheeks, the submental fold, and the entire body: skin folds and wrinkles on the neck and décolletage, firming and shaping the breasts, and treatments for the buttocks, abdomen, arms and legs.
