The incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. at a pedestrian crossing on Karola Miarki Street (at the intersection with Łukasiewicza Street). A Volkswagen Passat was travelling from the direction of Asnyka Street. A 49-year-old woman was crossing the road. The Passat driver failed to brake in time and hit the pedestrian. An ambulance took the injured woman to hospital. The 49-year-old suffered a fracture of the right pubic bone. The woman driving the Volkswagen was sober. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
