By the end of November, anyone whose personal or professional circumstances are connected, or who would like to connect them, with Zgorzelec can state their housing preferences in a specially prepared survey. What is the purpose of this survey?
The City of Zgorzelec is considering joining the Mieszkanie Plus programme and building multi-family residential buildings with attractive rental apartments on municipal property at Lubańska Street. The offer is primarily aimed at Zgorzelec residents, but also at those who, due to employment in the city or its vicinity, intend to establish their lives in Zgorzelec and are looking for attractive accommodation.
The estimated rental cost of apartments planned for construction under the Mieszkanie Plus programme has been set at PLN 17–20/m² plus fees. The units would be finished turnkey, meaning ready for occupancy, and intended primarily for rental, but with an option to “ultimately transfer ownership” after 25/30 years of renting. However, the tenant should indicate their intention to use this option when joining the programme, thereby agreeing to rent that is approximately 20% higher. For example, renting a two-room family apartment of approximately 40 m² could cost around PLN 680 (at a rate of PLN 17/m²) plus fees (utilities, waste management and administration).
Those interested in the programme are asked to complete a short survey by 30 November 2017. It will help determine the level of interest in the offer and learn about the preferences of potential future residents. The information collected will be used to develop an optimal concept for the programme and will assist in planning the subsequent stages of the project.
