Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki sent a letter to State Treasury companies asking whether they had vacant land and, if so, whether they would be willing to hand it over to Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego Nieruchomości in connection with the Mieszkanie+ programme. The management board of Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec, headed by Wiesław Ogrodnik, a Law and Justice activist, made the site of plant No. 2, currently being demolished, available to the Bank.

This means that premises under the government housing programme may be built in the City of Ceramics, and that the Bolesławiec-based company will probably not earn a single grosz on the property in question.

Let us recall that plant No. 2, belonging to ZC Bolesławiec and closed since the first half of 2015, is being demolished. The decision was made for economic reasons. The aim was to make savings, including on property tax. What is more, the company’s management concluded that it would be easier to sell the plot without unnecessary structures.
