The final installment of the “Rhythmic Holidays” project is now behind us. The series concluded with a Christmas carol concert performed by the Bolesławiec-based Camerton choir and three students of the Secondary Music School: Kamila Osuch, Paulina Kaczmarska and Marcin Rolak.

The concert took place beneath a Christmas palm. “Jesus was born in Bethlehem; there were no Christmas trees there, only palms,” explains Grzegorz Roman, coordinator of the “Rhythmic Holidays” project. “I am very pleased with this project. A family atmosphere was created at Galeria Concordia,” he adds.

Drumming and movement workshops, exhibitions and cabaret nativity plays were just some of the attractions held as part of “Rhythmic Holidays”. It was the second cultural series at Galeria Concordia. The earlier one, “She and He”, aimed to showcase the work of people from Bolesławiec and the surrounding area. This time, the organizers wanted to give residents of Bolesławiec the opportunity to take part in creative activities. According to Grzegorz Roman, both projects were equally successful.

What comes next? “I believe the year at Concordia should now come to an end and people should be given a moment to rest, so that we can return with a bang,” says Roman. “We will start again in January. Galeria Concordia will be buzzing with life,” he adds.
