The classes were led by the renowned French horn player and teacher from Częstochowa Maryla Limanowska. She teaches the French horn class at the Music School Complex in Częstochowa and also plays in the Częstochowa Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. M. Limanowska came to Zgorzelec for the entire day to share her experience and valuable advice with the young French horn players from Zgorzelec.
For many years, the French horn class at the Zgorzelec music school has been taught by experienced teacher Krzysztof Spiesz. All his students—from both the first- and second-degree schools—actively participated in the classes with Maryla Limanowska. “As part of the workshop, consultations were also held for students and teachers of the Zgorzelec music school, entitled ‘The Role of Embouchure in Shaping Sound,’” the workshop organizers say. “It was a fruitful training session both for the students and for the teachers of the Zgorzelec Music School.”
