Head of the Bolesławiec Society of Friends of Children Jadwiga Bobek has once again taken a seat on the Bolesławiec County Council. (The fact that this would happen was first reported by the istotne.pl portal.) During the October session of the County Council, held on Thursday, October 26, the well-known social activist took over the seat previously held by the late Dariusz Kwaśniewski. As we read on the County’s Facebook profile:
Jadwiga Bobek has been involved in local social initiatives for years and also has previous experience as a county councillor. During the current term, she will also participate in the work of the Health and Social Assistance Committee, which is close to her heart, as well as the Education, Culture and Sports Committee.
Before Jadwiga Bobek was sworn in, councillors and everyone present in the conference room of the Bolesławiec County Office observed a minute of silence in memory of Dariusz Kwaśniewski.
