The European Day of Languages at the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec is now behind us. It was a special event because on October 25, special guests—American soldiers—visited the “Budowlanka.” Representatives of the Bolesławiec County authorities also attended: Maciej Pronkiewicz, deputy head of the education department, and Tomasz Gabrysiak, deputy county head of Bolesławiec.

“The school event was also watched by the invited teaching staff, together with the school’s headmaster Jacek Jurkiewicz, and the students,” representatives of the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec say. “The entire event had a noble purpose: promoting the need to learn foreign languages, familiarizing participants with the cultures of European countries, and bringing the school community together.”

US Army soldiers presented a multimedia presentation they had prepared. They talked with the students, sang karaoke, and also played a soccer match.

While various competitions were taking place, including language and dance contests, some students presented displays devoted to countries selected earlier in a nearby building. Visitors could view interesting posters, sample regional dishes, and see original objects typical of the culture of each country.

The event was a success, and attractive prizes awaited the students. Everyone had a great time. The event concluded with group commemorative photographs.

The Construction School Complex sincerely thanks the owners of Joker bar in Bolesławiec for funding a prize for the school’s students: a pizza voucher.
