Two readers reported the billboards to us. They informed us that the screens mounted near Kościuszki and Cieszkowskiego streets shine so brightly at night that they dazzle drivers.
We checked the report. Indeed, the screens shine at maximum power and, when displaying, for example, text on a white background, may temporarily dazzle someone at night.
As standard practice, LED screens should be switched off at night, or their power should be reduced so that they do not glare into people's eyes (dimming also results in considerable savings on electricity). The billboards belonging to Zakłady Ceramiczne, for reasons unknown, shine at the same intensity continuously.
“Thank you for the information. The billboard parameters will be changed,” Łukasz Molak from Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec wrote to us.
