Strong winds are toppling trees and clothing containers. Some power lines have been damaged. On Łokietka Street in Bolesławiec, a tree fell on a passenger car. There are casualties, including a child. Numerous fire service crews are operating in Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County. Firefighters are removing fallen trees and branches from the roads. According to forecasters, strong winds will continue in Lower Silesia until tomorrow morning, but the wind is expected to weaken after midnight.
A tree fell on a car on Kaszubska Street. Fortunately, no one was inside.
Trees fell, among other places, on Kosiby, Lubańska, Ogrodowa, Mostowa, Jeleniogórska and Willowa streets and on Wojska Polskiego Avenue in Bolesławiec, as well as in Parzyce and Zebrzydowa, on the road to Kraszowice, in Szczytnica, Łaziska, Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, Otok, Nowe Jaroszowice, Gromadka and the area around Parowa. In Bolesławiec, the wind damaged the traffic lights at the intersection of Asnyka Street and Żwirki i Wigury Street.
