The case was reported by Polskie Radio Wrocław. A resident of our county who wanted to get into the Rheumatology Clinic on Borowska Street in Wrocław was allegedly told that if she failed to answer the phone twice, she would be removed from the waiting list. Since July, every day between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., the woman sat with her phone in the kitchen, where the signal was strongest.

Her son Jakub Miszkiel told PRW: “She is still waiting. Just imagine what the situation is like. 170 kilometers from Wrocław. Neighbors who have cars are on standby. Mom has been packed for three months. She does not leave the house because they might call today.”

What is more, the woman so thoroughly subordinated her life to waiting for a call from Wrocław that she did not go to a sanatorium because there was no phone signal there.

Piotr Wiland, head of the Rheumatology Clinic, explained that the information from the hospital had “perhaps been misunderstood.” The resident of our county will be admitted to the clinic on October 10. The full story is available on the Polskie Radio Wrocław website. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
