“Rhythmic Holidays” is a new cultural project that began on Friday, December 12, at the Concordia Gallery. The series opened with the poetry-and-photography happening “I Walk.” Residents of Bolesławiec had the opportunity to see an exhibition of photographs that Grzegorz Sidorowicz prepared for the poetry of Adrian Kostarenko. “The photographs are loosely related to the texts. It seems to me that writing a text for a photograph is easier than the other way around,” the photographer told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal.

Sidorowicz and Kostarenko officially opened the exhibition by cutting the warning tape hung throughout the Gallery. “I assumed that viewers should not see the exhibition before its opening. We wanted people to begin viewing it after the artists had been introduced. In my opinion, it is a more interesting format,” Grzegorz Sidorowicz explains.

Sidorowicz worked on the photographs for more than a year. Most of the photographs were taken with pinhole cameras. The happening “I Walk” is another installment of the Temporary Artistic Emergency project, created by Grzegorz Sidorowicz, Jacek “Orzeł” Lubiński, Adrian Kostarenko and Karol Kusibab. During Friday’s opening, the latter was replaced by Andrzej Kostarenko, Adrian’s brother, who sang several of his own compositions.
