For older people as a reminder and for younger people as an introduction, the organizer, the Studio for the Commemoration of Jolanta Ajlikow-Czarnecka, invites you to an exhibition of the work of the Bolesławiec artist and longtime educator Jolanta Ajlikow-Czarnecka (1930–2007), held on the tenth anniversary of her death. The exhibition will be organized by the Studio together with the State Archives in Wrocław, Bolesławiec branch, the Oleńka restaurant in the Old Town, and the istotne.pl portal and newspaper.
Ewa Browarczyk, the initiator and principal organizer, invites you to the exhibition in these words:
Opening a new book or exhibition is like opening a window. The same movement and the same anticipation. Opening something within oneself and looking at what is here. Opening the artist’s space and the viewer’s space.
In the time of Jolanta Ajlikow-Czarnecka, we are invited into this special form of space by an outstanding artist, an exceptional teacher and an irreplaceable human being.
We invite you to The Time of Joalnty Ajlikow-Czarnecka. A time that is good and destructive. Mystical and real. Of blues and pinks. Of rebellion and acceptance. Of light and shadows. Of destruction and creation. Of reminiscence and hope. Of searching and enduring, just like her works.
We invite you to encounter art while remembering Her words: “everyone receives art according to what they are capable of.”
Jolanta Ajlikow-Czarnecka was a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She studied under Wojciech Weiss, Adam Marczyński and Czesław Rzepiński in the Faculty of Painting, and under Witold Chomicz in the Faculty of Graphic Arts. She completed her studies in 1956.
She practiced the artistic disciplines of painting, drawing, performance and graphic art, seeking diverse forms of expression. She created works inspired by nature: oil landscapes, pastels, expressive acrylic portraits, and collages made mainly of paper, constructed according to the principle of contrasts.
Her works are held in the collections of the Regional Museum and BWA in Jelenia Góra, teacher-training centers in Warsaw and throughout the country, as well as in private collections. (ZPAP information)
