The bad luck continues for US Army soldiers. On Wednesday, 13 September, their vehicle overturned on the A18. That same day, it was noticed that equipment worth PLN 200,000 had disappeared from a container that had arrived in Żagań several days earlier. As “Gazeta Lubuska” reports:
Not all of its [kontenera] contents were stolen; only some of the equipment stored inside was taken. There was so much equipment that the thieves would have had to arrange special transport. The value of the stolen items was estimated at more than PLN 200,000. The case is being handled by the prosecutor’s office in Wrocław and the Military Police.
Investigators report that there were no weapons, ammunition or explosives in the container.
