In an email to the editorial office—titled “Litter Along the Bóbr”—a Reader wrote: “please post a photo on the website with information that there is litter by the waterfall along the Bóbr, level with the playing field on Rajska Street.”
We have written in these pages many times about the mess that litterbugs leave along the Bóbr. We have also often asked for comments on the matter—from the municipal police or from the Municipal Housing Management Facility. We understand that this problem cannot be eliminated completely. We know that officers cannot stand guard in one place around the clock. So perhaps—possibly somewhat naively—it is worth appealing to fans of spending time outdoors (and drinking) to take their rubbish with them. All the more so now, when it is summer and residents of Bolesławiec are certainly visiting the areas along the Bóbr more often. And not infrequently with small children.
