As part of the “Safety on the Water Matters to Me” campaign, firefighters from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec and volunteer firefighters from fire stations across our county told the children attending the Sail Swim sailing school’s day camp about dangers they might encounter near the water. There was also first-aid training conducted by Maciej Marcinkiewicz, a water-rescue instructor from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service.
As part of the campaign, the Sail Swim school organized a demonstration of capsizing and righting boats. The firefighters’ initiative will be repeated next week.
