In the coming months, drivers using the detour from Lwówek Śląski to Bolesławiec will face further changes to the traffic organization.
– Due to the ongoing construction of the south-eastern Bolesławiec bypass, from 9 August to 30 June 2018 a change to the traffic organization will be introduced, involving the complete closure to vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes of county road no. 2280D on the section from Bolesławiec to Ustronie – explains Jerzy Pleśnierowicz, the construction manager at Skanska. – Drivers will use a detour along county road no. 2501D through the following towns: Brunów, Chmielno, Ustronie, Raciborowice Dolne and Iwiny.
The Bolesławiec bypass being built by Skanska crosses county road no. 2280D, connecting Bolesławiec and Żeliszów. At this very location, the company will build two large-diameter culverts, whose foundations will reach a depth of 5.5 m below ground level. Their construction makes it necessary to introduce a complete road closure.
– We ask road users for patience and understanding, and also to comply with the temporary traffic organization for safety reasons. Completely closing the road while the work is being carried out will increase the safety of both route users and our employees. We will make every effort to ensure that inconveniences connected with the construction work are as little burdensome as possible for drivers and pedestrians – informs Jerzy Pleśnierowicz.
