Pieprzyk consists of Hanna Jakubowska (vocals, guitar) and Zbigniew Dobrzyński (guitar, vocals). The duo made its debut in 2010 at the 3rd “Sowa” Poetry Song Contest in Rybnik. Their shy presentation of original songs received second prize and led to offers for several subsequent performances, compelling the group members to work intensively on their music and assemble concert material.
This success also encouraged them to try their hand at competitions and on the stages of poetry, student and tourist song festivals throughout Poland.
They simply play... songs. Simple, but not simplistic. The sung prose of life. The uncontrived lyrics are accompanied by ordinary music. In keeping with their name, everything is combined with taste and seasoned just right. In 2016, they released the album “Pranie,” featuring 12 lyrical and unconventional songs. Invited guests took part in the recordings and occasionally expand the band’s lineup.
