– “This is a huge undertaking, which is why the construction process and the wait for a new reality will be neither quick nor easy,” say county officials. “So far, the construction episodes have somewhat resembled a film set, where surprises were never in short supply, because this piece of land—and what lies beneath it—is unpredictable. However, experts in the field have taken up the work: a consortium of companies, Sudeckie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych Sp. z o.o. from Jelenia Góra and Mostostal Kielce S.A. It is difficult to surprise them, given the many roads and bridges they have completed. In this situation, they were not even deterred by a bomb found during the construction work, especially since trained soldiers are close at hand.
Even incidents like these were unable to disrupt the general plan and work schedule. The construction of two new bridges and 22 km of road in Osiecznica Municipality is possible thanks to the many efforts made and the millions of złoty secured by the authorities of Bolesławiec County.
Let us recall: this largest road investment in the County’s history will cost just under PLN 26 million. The new crossings over the Kwisa, currently under construction, will meet all the necessary technical requirements and improve connections between Świętoszów, Osiecznica and Bolesławiec.
Bolesławiec County Head Karol Stasik and Deputy County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak, with the professional support of Ewa Woch, head of the Investment and Public Procurement Department, carefully observed the bridge being built in Świętoszów. The project is co-financed by the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2014–2020.
