The meeting will take place on 7 July (at 5:00 p.m.) in the hall of the Municipal Cultural Centre. Dr Mieczysław Wojecki is a political scientist and geographer. His academic output includes more than 600 publications, including the studies “Political Refugees from Greece in Poland in 1949–1975,” “Jews in Poland,” “Poles and Greeks – Cordial Ties,” and “Signs of the Times, or On Life and Passing.”
He is an editor, journalist and contributor to many regional periodicals. His interests also include culture and tourism. He is one of the founders of the Polish-Greek Friendship Society and an academic teacher; he conducts courses for tourism professionals.
He actively and passionately pursues domestic and international tourism; by bicycle, he travelled across Greece, covering 1,600 km in 23 days. “All this means that the meeting will be interesting for many reasons,” the event organisers say. “We therefore invite everyone to take part in it and in the 20th Greek Song Festival.”
