Dubbed by critics and audiences the “first lady of Polish jazz,” the vocalist has enjoyed a warm reception for many years. Ewa Bem’s professionalism and vocal skills have been repeatedly emphasized, as have her impeccable stage manners. She has won many prestigious awards and distinctions, including first prize at the Lublin Meetings of Jazz Vocalists festival in 1972, which enabled her to collaborate with such highly regarded artists as Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski and Wojciech Karolak.
Ewa Bem has also performed abroad, including in Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Australia and the USA, where she presented American jazz standards as well as Polish repertoire in a swing interpretation. She was enthusiastically received everywhere.
Tickets for the Ewa Bem & Trio concert cost PLN 30 and can be purchased at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre. However, it is worth trying your luck in the Boleslawiec.org website’s competition first—and perhaps seeing the performance for free. The first two people to answer the question correctly will receive pairs of tickets:
Which musical event did the Boleslawiec.org website sponsor?
To enter the competition, send your answer using the Boleslawiec.org website’s contact form. The prizes are funded by the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre.
