Thanks to cooperation between the City of Bolesławiec and the County, renovations of county roads in the city are getting underway. The County has already awarded the contract for the reconstruction of two such streets – Polna and Ogrodowa. Before this work begins, however, county executive Karol Stasik and the head of the County Roads Authority Paweł Bednarski opened another county-city investment – 150 sq m of pavement by Biedronka on Dolne Młyny Street.
As part of the work, the electrical network was placed underground and trees were cut down to clear the entrance to Dolne Młyny from Mostowa Street. “Visibility in this location has improved significantly, making it safer here both for drivers and pedestrians,” the head of the County Board stressed.
The investment was worth PLN 45,000. (The Portuguese retail chain did not contribute a single zloty.) Next year, the County together with the City plans to reconstruct Mostowa Street (including the bridge) and Dolne Młyny Street, as well as complete the renovation of Staszica Street.
