City councillor Bogdan Biernat, who was elected to the Council from the Law and Justice list, stressed in an interview with Kazimierz Marczewski, a journalist for Bolec.Info, that he is not a member of PiS. The local government official called himself a “free electron”. He added that when he was a student, a priest – now a bishop – Stefan Regmunt told him that catechists should not become involved in political parties.

The councillor also spoke about how emotionally he reacted when Wojciech Kasprzyk became head of the Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee of the Bolesławiec City Council: “For me, it was difficult to understand why a doctor of law should become chairman of the Infrastructure Committee, rather than someone who has worked at a cooperative for more than 20 years and deals with investments, such as councillor Stanisław Wiącek. [Ten ostatni był kontrkandydatem Kasprzyka – przyp. red.].
Bogdan Biernat also mentioned that the city authorities positively considered his interpellation concerning Armii Krajowej Street.
