The films were made through a collaboration between young people from the Film Education Studio of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre, led by Michał Szwed, and the Bolesławiec Film School (II Private Lower Secondary School). Admission is free.
“Devil”, directed by Wiktoria Kotowicz, is a narrative short telling the story of two lower-secondary-school students who try designer drugs. The addiction they develop grows increasingly stronger, worsening their relationships with their peers. The film aims to warn young people about the dangers of the internet and the risks posed by drugs. The screenplay was developed by the BOK – MCC Film Education Studio. The cinematographer is Szymon Śmiałkowski, and the sound was recorded by Dominik Mistal. The cast includes Adam Szaja, Bartłomiej Babiasz and Wiktor Wojtyra.
“True Love” is also a narrative short. It was directed by Maja Janiszewska. The film is about relationships between young people. The main character falls in love with a schoolmate but does not know how to tell her. He tries to find a way to win her heart. The film was shot in Bolesławiec from October to March. The screenplay was written by the BOK – MCC Film Education Studio; the sound was handled by Kacper Kurzydło, and the cinematography was by Weronika Kmita. Production manager: Emilia Janeczek.
