The jubilee event, organized as part of the Week with the County, was held under the honorary patronage of Bolesławiec County. The competition took place at the athletics stadium next to the Henryk Sucharski Secondary and Vocational School Complex in Bolesławiec. The school’s principal, Laura Słocka-Przydróżna, and its students helped conduct the event.
The following institutions took part in the competition at the invitation of the head of the District School and Special Education Facilities Complex in Bolesławiec, Zdzisława Woźniak:

- Educational and Care Facilities Complex in Lwówek Śląski
- II Community Self-Help Home in Bolesławiec
- Occupational Therapy Workshops in Bolesławiec
- I Community Self-Help Home in Bolesławiec
- Educational and Care Centre in Zgorzelec
- School and Educational Facilities Complex in Lubin
- Special Facilities Complex in Legnica
- School and Care Facilities Complex in Głogów
- District School and Special Education Facilities Complex in Bolesławiec.
The event traditionally brought together communities of children and young people with intellectual disabilities; it provided an opportunity to showcase the motor skills of people with physical disabilities. Under the banner of Motor Skills Day, the competitors took part in the following events: throwing at a target, tug-of-war, obstacle-course races, tunnel races, bowling, walking along a sensorimotor path, a ball race and a treasure hunt.
An art competition was also held under the title “Olympics Without Barriers.” Its aim was to create a poster for the 20th Regional Athletics Games. The winner was Piotr Tomczak, a student in class SPA.
Competitors without mobility impairments competed in events such as:
- 60-metre race
- 400-metre girls’ race
- 800-metre boys’ race
- long jump.
The relays were a special highlight of the competition, with two caregivers and two people with disabilities from each institution taking part. The event that drew the greatest applause was the wheelchair races.
The top athletes from PZSiPS in Bolesławiec were: Wiktoria Hajde, Kornelia Wróbel, Katarzyna Janowska, Anna Jaskot, Iwona Jabłońska, Cyprian Witkowski, Mateusz Karaczun, Krzysztof Gołębiowski, Mateusz Zawlik, Hubert Siek, Martyna Boczek, Magdalena Zielińska, Kamil Tomoń, Tomasz Hajde, Damian Machaczka and Mariusz Zieliński.
The winners were awarded by County Head Karol Stasik and Deputy County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak. The athletics games are one of the oldest traditions of the District School and Special Education Facilities Complex in Bolesławiec. Numerous sponsors help maintain this tradition every year.
