The first set began with both teams scoring point for point. TOP began to extend its lead after a successful block by Krzysztof Bondrow and an effective attack by Tomasz Włoszczyński. Bolesławiec gained a four-point advantage (20–16). The visitors managed to make up two points, but ultimately Bolesławiec won the set 25–22.

In the second set, the evenly matched battle lasted only until the score reached 3–3. In the following minutes, TOP clearly dominated. Effective defensive play and confident attacks allowed our volleyball players to control the course of the set. A good block by Wojciech Marcinkiewicz and Bondrow, along with Włoszczyński’s scoring attacks, brought Bolesławiec closer to a convincing victory. TOP won the second set 25–17.

TOP began the third set with a commanding lead. At one point, the scoreboard showed 10–4 to Bolesławiec. Seeing such a large lead, coach Bogusław Mienculewicz made substitutions. Marcin Lelek came on as setter, while Michał Bartkowiak replaced Bondrow. Unfortunately, the changes had a negative effect on TOP’s play. The players from Góra reduced the deficit to 13–16. Bondrow then returned to the court, and Bolesławiec’s play improved considerably. In the closing stages of the set, Bolesławiec held a two-point lead. With TOP leading 24–22, the visitors made an error and gave Bolesławiec an “easy” ball. Marcin Czarniecki set to the wing for Wojciech Marcinkiewicz, who produced a powerful attack. The ball grazed the fingers of a Pogoń blocker and went out. TOP won the third set 25–22 and the entire match 3–0 (25–22, 25–17, 25–22).
