– This is a road being systematically completed by Powiat Bolesławiecki and Gmina Nowogrodziec – said the Bolesławiec county executive Karol Stasik. On Monday, May 22, an 835-metre section of the Ocice–Gościszów road was handed over. The total asphalt thickness on this section is 9 cm. The road should last 12 years.

– I would like to sincerely thank the mayor of Nowogrodziec, Robert Relich, because he has co-financed the construction of this road for years; for the residents of Gościszów, it is a lifeline. It is, after all, the shortest route to Bolesławiec – the county executive emphasised.

– The condition of roads in Gmina Nowogrodziec is improving significantly – R. Relich noted. – On May 30, we will sign an agreement to build a sanitary sewer system in Czerna and Nowa Wieś. Once this project is completed, there will be new, beautiful asphalt roads.

– I am pleased that we will be able to travel from Ocice along another high-quality section of road towards Lubań – added deputy county executive Tomasz Gabrysiak. – This is one of the most important investments this year. It is connected with the reconstruction of the Ocice–Włodzice road, which will begin soon. We hope that completing all these projects will make life easier for residents of our county and Lwówek County.

Powiat Bolesławiecki and Gmina Nowogrodziec still have to repair another section between Gościszów and Ocice (1,600 m) and the section between Gościszów and Mściszów (1,800 m). The local governments will seek funding for this purpose from the National Programme for the Reconstruction of Local Roads.
