“Koziołek Matołek” is a character created by Kornel Makuszyński (text) and Marian Walentynowicz (colour illustrations). He is an iconic character, even though decades have passed since the deaths of both authors, and the adventures of the title character that they described and illustrated do not necessarily fit contemporary reality. This picture book is part of the canon of Polish children’s literature. The story of Koziołek Matołek is considered a pioneering work in Polish comics.
