On 25 April, another edition of the IT competition organized by the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences took place. Students from schools in Poland, Ukraine and Germany were invited to participate.
Bolesławiec’s “Elektronik” was represented by four students from the IT technical school. Adam Sadowski from class 4t and Michał Krzywoszyński from class 3t competed in the RoboCup category, while Jakub Woźniak and Dariusz Mszal (both from class 3t) competed in GameCup. The students’ supervisor was vocational-subject teacher Jarosław Majko.
All groups had to complete a test. In the practical RoboCup section, the contestants received a line-following program for Lego NXT II. The groups’ task was to improve the program so that the robot would complete the competition course in the shortest possible time. In GameCup, the teams had to create an animation program using the Scratch application on a computer and present it in English.
The two-person “Elektronik” teams proved to be the best, taking first place in both competitions. “Students from Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych took part in previous editions of the competition, in which they also achieved success. In 2015, they took second place, and in 2016, third place. We can confidently say that We Provide Solid Education, and our students program their future,” representatives of ZSE said.
