The interiors of Termy have gained a new color scheme. Most of the rooms and corridors have been repainted. Termy Bolesławiec has also been equipped with color-therapy lighting in the steam sauna and additional infrared heaters in the dry sauna. To provide greater comfort for customers, the SPA reception has been separated from the treatment-room area. A second massage room and additional changing rooms have been created in the SPA area.
“After air conditioning was installed earlier, the gym’s décor also changed, making the space appear larger. We also made a number of smaller, entirely practical changes, such as replacing tiles, soap dispensers and paper dispensers. The metal dryers, which were rusting, were also replaced with more attractive plastic ones,” informs Łukasz Jaźwiec, manager of Termy.
It is worth recalling that the historic Termy building is already more than 120 years old and was recently carefully restored. Termy Bolesławiec, formerly the Municipal Bathing Establishments, was built in two phases. In 1895, the first bathhouse building was erected, featuring impressive “Northern Renaissance” forms. In 1914–15, using a tower belonging to the city fortification system, the second part of the complex was built, containing a swimming pool, an exercise room and a Roman steam bath. The interior has preserved, among other features, ceramic-tile decorations in various shades of sea green, adorned with geometric ornamentation and a bull’s-eye motif, as well as monumental sculptures by Jenny Bary-Doussin.
Today, in attractively arranged interiors, there are brine pools, a salt cave and a rehabilitation and recreation area. The facility contains a swimming pool with a range of attractions. The various floors house a gym, salt cave, cardio room, Vaculife Professional Dual—a device for physical exercise in a vacuum and infrared environment—CO2 cryotherapy equipment, solarium, sun meadow, recreational brine pool, brine pool, brine jacuzzi, fitness room, SPA capsule, water bed for dry massage, Ocean Forte tub for hydromassage and underwater massage, Laguna Plus Bubble tub for hydromassage and pearl massage, and a massage and body-care room. In the various sauna areas, sauna rituals known from the days of Roman baths are conducted under the supervision of the Master.
After the technical break, informational banners promoting the SPA area and salt cave have also appeared on the premises. The salt cave at Termy Bolesławiec has a microclimate found by the sea. It affects the body in a similar way. Clean air, ionized by salt, relaxes and supports the treatment of many conditions—asthma, upper respiratory tract infections, sinusitis, hypothyroidism, psoriasis and neurosis. In the cave, we use the beneficial properties of salt. Salt tightens and cleanses the skin, protects it from free radicals, and helps with weight loss and the fight against cellulite. The iodine it contains strengthens the mucous membrane, which affects immunity (immune bodies are found in the mucus). A visit to the cave cannot replace a walk by the sea, but it is a good way to relax quickly, for example during the middle of a busy day.
Termy Bolesławiec is open from Monday to Sunday. More information at www.boleslawiec.eu.
