On April 4, at around 6:00 p.m., community police officers from Chojnów received information that a man dressed in dark clothing was stealing cables from a mine. At the scene, the officers spotted the suspect. Upon seeing the officers, he began to flee. However, after a while, the 36-year-old resident of Chojnów gmina was arrested and taken to police custody.
As the police established, the suspect has at least three offenses on his record. (Each time, he stole copper wires from the same mine.) The value of the losses he caused was estimated at more than PLN 10,000.
The police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of these cases in detail and determining what happened to the stolen property. The 36-year-old resident of Chojnów gmina is a repeat offender; he has been convicted multiple times for this type of crime. He will now face the court for his actions.
