The meeting with Ryszard Adam Gruchawka took place on Friday, 17 October, at the Village Hall in Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka. Everyone who attended had the opportunity to watch an artistic programme performed by pupils from the Primary School in Kraśnik Dolny. Young singers and dancers performed on stage, prompting loud applause.
The star of the evening was Ryszard Adam Gruchawka—a poet and prose writer. The artist wrote his first text at the age of 13. It was a fairy tale entitled “The Condemned”. Since then, several hundred fairy tales, numerous poems and stories, and even several plays have been created. The work of the woodcutter from Stara Oleszna is characterised by beautiful Polish and a distinctive way of perceiving the world—a way characteristic of exceptionally sensitive people.
During Friday’s meeting with the residents of Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka, the poet presented several of his works. The humorous texts appealed to both children and adults, who rewarded them with applause and bursts of laughter, as well as political allusions incomprehensible to the youngest.
The event was organised by the Municipal Culture and Sport Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyna.
