The ceremony was prepared by Elżbieta Grzyb and Anna Kozłowska together with pupils from class VI B. Older pupils introduced their younger classmates to the enchanted world of books.
It was not easy to become a library reader. The pupils had to solve riddles about fairy tales and fables, learn how to look after books and how to behave in the library.
The children passed the exam with flying colours and made a solemn pledge. Deputy Headteacher Sylwia Łukasiewicz-Nawieśniak used a huge pencil to ceremonially induct each pupil as a reader. To commemorate the event, the children received certificates, bookmarks
and a letter for their parents, “Why Is It Worth Reading Books?”.
We hope that the new readers will be eager to use the library and take part in the many events promoting reading held at Primary School No. 2 as part of the social campaign “All of Poland Reads to Kids”.
