Officers from the Property Crime Division of the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters identified and then arrested a 28-year-old man wanted by the court, who is suspected of numerous burglaries. The thief has at least seven offences to his name, committed in the first quarter of 2017.
The man broke into public utility buildings, schools and educational institutions in Legnica. His haul included computers, projectors, power tools, as well as cash and... commemorative medallions. The losses were estimated at more than PLN 13,000. The police recovered some of the stolen property.
The 28-year-old resident of Legnica is a repeat offender; he has been convicted repeatedly of offences against property. What is more, he has an eight-month prison sentence to serve. He could now additionally face up to 15 years behind bars.
