Officers from the Police Station in Pieńsk identified a man suspected of burglarizing single-family homes in the town. He turned out to be a 34-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra. The suspect had been carrying out this activity from August to October 2016. Each time, he acted in the same way: he forced open a window, entered the building, and then stole money and jewelry.
However, it turned out that the 34-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra was already in prison, where he had been sent for another theft. The man additionally heard four charges of burglary at single-family homes. The total losses he caused to residents of Pieńsk exceeded PLN 15,000.
The 34-year-old will spend the coming months in prison, but he will not avoid punishment for the additional burglaries. He now faces up to 10 more years behind bars.
