On Saturday, 4 March, another edition of the Lower Silesian Children’s Wrocław Open Tournament took place. The players competed in two age categories: under 10 and under 12. In the latter category, Dominik Twardowski, representing Tenis Park Bolesławiec, took second place.

A major event for the best young tennis players was the opportunity to spend time together with the finalists of the ATP Challenger Wrocław Open. The awards ceremony took place immediately before the singles final of the tournament in the packed Orbita Hall.

After the awards ceremony, the young players and the audience cheered with all their might for Michał Przysiężny (ATP No. 402), who was the first Polish finalist in the thirteen-year history of the Wrocław Challenger. On the other side of the net was Jürgen Melzer (ATP No. 203). To reach the final, the Austrian had to defeat Jerzy Janowicz in the second round. Despite the support of his fans, the popular Pencil was unable to defeat the accomplished J. Melzer and lost to him 4–6, 3–6. The entire event could be watched live on Polsat Sport Extra.
