The incident took place on Fat Thursday at the intersection of ks. Dominika Kostiala and Kilińskiego streets in Jelenia Góra. A man caring for his life partner asked city guards to help him place the – not entirely sober – woman in a peculiar means of transport. The trolley did its job. His partner reached home safely, although not necessarily comfortably.
“The man's attitude deserves recognition,” say the Jelenia Góra city guards. “He took proper care of his partner. He effectively and considerately looked after her safety, and when he could not manage to place her in the peculiar means of transport, he knew whom he could turn to for help.”
They add: “The conclusions are clear. When it is not possible to exercise moderation in drinking, it is always worth having the support and help of someone one can rely on. Without her caregiver and friend, everything could undoubtedly have ended differently.”
