The Ministry of National Defence is working on a draft bill. If it enters into force, the reconstruction of roads such as the one to Świętoszów (Osiecznica commune)—that is, roads of major military importance—will be co-financed from the state budget.
As we reported in our November article For Americans, Poles Will Reconstruct the Road to Świętoszów, among the investments to receive funding from the budget of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship was the reconstruction of district road no. 2271 D: Osiecznica–motorway junction (Luboszów) A18–powiat border (Rudawica). As voivodeship officials stressed at the time, the aim was to “provide access to the military unit where American troops will be stationed.” The value of the largest investment in the history of Powiat Bolesławiecki is more than PLN 26.3 million.
