The results of the ranking “The Largest Local Government Investors”, organized by the weekly magazine „Wspólnota”, were announced during the 6th Local Government Capital and Finance Forum in Warsaw. Local governments competed in seven categories: voivodeship cities, cities with county rights, voivodeships, counties, county towns, small towns, and rural municipalities. The ranking’s authors assessed the development of technical infrastructure. Professor Paweł Swianiewicz of the University of Warsaw, summarizing the results, emphasized that expenditure on technical infrastructure accounts for more than half of investments by voivodeships and counties, as well as more than two-thirds of all municipal investments.
