“To Be” is a film about ordinary people in extraordinary times. It tells the story of Maria Niemczuk, who was deported to Siberia in June 1941. Maria recounts her several-month journey to the Golgotha of the East. As she recalls: “not everyone was bad”. The film premiered on September 28, 2016, in the Warsaw Hall at the Gdynia Film Centre, as part of the “Young People for History” competition during the 8th Defiant, Unbroken, Cursed Film Festival.
The Bolesławiec premiere of the latest film by Przemysław Kania, a student of the 2nd General Secondary School in Bolesławiec, will take place on Thursday, February 9 at the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre (Chopina Street). It begins at 6:00 p.m.. Admission is free.
