A military picnic will be held at Bolesławiec Market Square from 10:00. As part of the event, military equipment from the US 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team and units of the 11th Lubusz Armored Cavalry Division, including the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec, will be presented. Artistic performances will accompany the demonstrations from 12:00, and attendees will be served military pea soup.
The following military equipment will be on display in the Market Square:
- Leopard 2A4 and Abrams tanks,
- Bradley infantry fighting vehicle,
- Rosomak armored personnel carrier,
- Stryker armored personnel carrier,
- Husky engineering vehicle,
- WR-40 Langusta rocket launcher,
- Dana self-propelled howitzer,
- Liwiec artillery reconnaissance radar system,
- HMMWV high-mobility vehicles
“We are looking forward to meeting you on 5 February,” says Lt. Col. George Mitroka, commander of the US 588th Engineer Battalion, which is stationed in Bolesławiec and cooperates with the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment. “That evening, the Super Bowl final will be held in the USA, with the two best American football teams competing. For our soldiers, the joint picnic will be an excellent opportunity to celebrate this event and get ready to watch the game,” Mitroka adds.Super Bowl, podczas którego współzawodniczą dwie najlepsze drużyny futbolu amerykańskiego.
