On days 1–3, children will make clay elements of the composition; on day 4, they will arrange the entire mosaic on a flat surface; on day 5, they will glaze the mosaic. The finished work will be installed in Bolesławiec; the opening will take place on Children’s Day.   • 13–17 February, 11:00–13:00: Vocal classes – intended for people who want to learn to sing.   • 20–24 February, 10:00–12:00: “Vistula – Sisters and Brothers” – educational and creative spatial activities. The group will create an art installation. It will include a paper “model” occupying the entire gallery area (89 sq m). The aim is to deepen knowledge about the history of the Vistula River and the geographical course of its riverbed, as well as to promote the Year of the Vistula River. The completed installation promoting the Year of the Vistula River will be on display in the “mała Biała” Gallery until 3 March 2017. Muzeum Ceramiki invites you to:

  • City History Department at Kutuzowa Street – 14 February 2017 (Tuesday), 9:30–11:30, and 22 February 2017 (Wednesday), 9:30–11:30: “Carnival (Out)fit” workshops – art activities for children and young people. Participants will create colourful masks and carnival costume accessories using prepared art materials – paper, tissue paper, fabrics, sequins and more. An additional attraction will be the opportunity to dress up in costumes from different periods, create their own combinations and sets of clothing, headwear and accessories, and present them to the other participants.
  • City History Department at Kutuzowa Street – 16 February 2017 (Thursday), 10:00–12:00, and 23 February 2017 (Thursday), 10:00–12:00: “King and Queen of the Ball” workshops – art activities in which children and young people, with an instructor’s help and guided by their imagination, will create puppets dressed in colourful outfits made from various materials – tissue paper, coloured paper, sequins and scraps of fabric. Younger children will decorate cardboard doll templates. The activities stimulate the imagination and help develop creative-thinking skills.
  • City History Department at Kutuzowa Street – 17 February 2017 (Friday), 10:00–12:00 (Part I), and 20 February 2017 (Monday), 10:00–12:00 (Part II): mobile photography workshops – activities for children aged 7 to 12. On the first day, participants will learn about theoretical issues related to today’s popular mobile photography. In arranged interiors at the City History Department of Muzeum Ceramiki, they will also take portrait photographs using their own phones or digital cameras. Participants will have costumes, headwear and accessories at their disposal, which they can use during the workshops to create their own styles and take on the role of model and then photographer. On the second day, the results of the work and tasks for the children to complete at home will be discussed.
  • Exhibition of the “Camera” Photographic Association – City History Department, 14 Kutuzowa Street. The photography workshops will accompany the exhibition of the “Camera” Photographic Association. The annual exhibition will present several dozen photographs by members of the Bolesławiec association, created recently. They will mainly be landscapes and portraits made using various techniques. An additional attraction will be the opportunity to view historic photographic equipment. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be able to vote for the best photograph. Exhibition dates: 3–28 February 2017. Opening hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00–16:00; Sunday, 11:00–16:00.

During the winter holidays, admission to permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as participation in workshops, is free for children, young people in education and their guardians.

The organiser provides all art materials. Participants in photography classes are asked to bring their own mobile phones with built-in cameras or cameras. The activities will take place only if a group of at least five people is formed.
