According to radio station RMF FM, the accident occurred on Tuesday, January 24, on a county road near Żagań. Two vehicles collided there: a United States Army military truck and a Polish minibus. The soldiers were travelling towards the Świętoszów garrison (10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade). Two people in the minibus were injured and taken to hospital.
The Military Police is investigating the case. The Americans began their service in Poland rather unfortunately. Let us recall: last week we reported that the American soldiers had barely arrived when they already crashed a Hummer on Kościuszki Street in Bolesławiec. And last Saturday, as reported by “Gazeta Lubuska”, on national road 27 near the village of Piaski, close to Zielona Góra, a US Army truck left the road and overturned. Two American soldiers—the driver and passenger—sustained minor injuries.
