The design and technical documentation for the planned reconstruction of the platforms at Bolesławiec station has already been prepared. It is currently being agreed upon with the relevant state institutions (the Fire Service, the Sanitary Inspectorate and the Monument Conservator) and railway companies. This is a necessary stage in order to obtain a building permit from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office. The prepared design provides for the comprehensive reconstruction of two platforms (platforms No. 1 and No. 2), including drainage and the installation of cable ducts for dynamic passenger information system equipment.
Let us recall that in December 2015 we reported that renovation of platform No. 2 at the Bolesławiec PKP railway station had been under way for some time. “At Bolesławiec station, the uneven surface of platform No. 2 posed a threat to the safe servicing of passengers,” Bohdan Ząbek explained to us at the time. “The repair was supposed to be carried out in 2015, but due to the broader scope of the work, it will be completed in 2016. After the slabs were uncovered, it was found that, among other things, the drainage needed to be improved.”
