The incident occurred on Thursday evening in Przejęsław. A woman called for help because she felt unwell. Three other people were also in the apartment with her. Firefighters arrived at the scene. In their presence, one adult and two children began to feel worse. They were given oxygen. Two ambulances were called. All three were taken to hospital on suspicion of carbon monoxide poisoning.

“At around 11 p.m., we were dispatched to a local hazard involving carbon monoxide,” firefighters from OSP Przejęsław told istotne.pl. “Two fire service units took part in the operation: one from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec and the other from OSP Przejęsław. The injured people received qualified first aid until the ambulances arrived.”
