The exhibition will feature works inspired by the garden motif: paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations and arrangements by 18 artists: Marita Benke – Gajda, Maria Bieńkowska – Kopczyńska, Krystyna Zaboklicka, Elżbieta Śliwińska, Weronika Gajda, Ewa Wróbel, Barbara Zgoda, Barbara Arabska, Małgorzata Stańczyk, Zofia Tobaszewska, Kaja Sawicka, Katarzyna Gajda, Magdalena Cisło, Agata Kardas, Jan Biczysko, Zbigniew Gierczak, Jakub Niewdana and Natalia Nowacka.
In the introduction to the exhibition catalogue, Alicja Biczysko writes: “Described, painted, sculpted, photographed or real – the garden of our times is an image of the anxieties of people who still suffer from a shortage of beautiful and safe spaces. This is expressed by the works in the exhibition by artists from the Ceramika bez Granic Association, which is the final project of My Place IV, carried out jointly with the Cultural Centre in Słomniki. Let us follow these works, which each create, in their own way, an ideal landscape where nature and culture remain in paradisiacal balance. Let us escape from an increasingly industrialised space that is unfriendly to nature and violates the principles of beauty. Let us search hopefully for our lost paradise.”
The exhibition is open until 27 March 2017.
