When the matter came to light, the head of the department came to the hospital and arranged for another doctor to be on duty. The doctor who was drunk while on duty will no longer work at the ZOZ. – After consulting with the lawyer, I decided to terminate the civil-law contract with this doctor with immediate effect. He no longer works for us. I lost trust in him. It was the only thing I could do – the head of the county hospital emphasizes.

Let us recall: the incident occurred on Saturday, January 14, at the county hospital on Jeleniogórska Street in Bolesławiec. A woman who came to ask the doctor on duty for information sensed the smell of alcohol coming from him. She notified the police. As it turned out, the woman’s suspicions were confirmed. The doctor was under the influence of alcohol. He had 1‰ of alcohol in his exhaled breath. However, since he did not have time to undertake any medical duties, he will probably be held liable for a misdemeanor. He may face arrest or a fine.
