A bone marrow transplant is necessary in Dominika Lehmann’s case. Unfortunately, among her family, the one million potential bone marrow donors registered in Poland and the more than 27 million registered worldwide, there is NO ONE who could be a donor for Dominika. However, it is likely that every person has a genetic twin.
Perhaps one of you could help Dominika or another person waiting for a transplant?
Information about registering in the bone marrow donor database can be found on www.dkms.pl. It is very simple: all you need to do is register on the foundation’s website, and a cheek-swab collection kit will be sent to you by post, together with a return envelope.
