Ewa Jakubowicz is a young actress from Osiecznica and a graduate of the Theatre Academy in Warsaw. She is known to a wider audience as Melka from the television series “Pierwsza miłość.” She has also made a name for herself as an outstanding vocalist.

The Andrzej Nardelli Award for an acting debut, which Ewa Jakubowicz received this year, has been presented for 18 years by the Theatre Critics Section of the Polish Actors’ Association. The actress from our county was awarded for the title role in the play “Romeo and Juliet,” staged at the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Kraków. As Ewa Heine wrote on the ZASP website:

For us, the members of the Theatre Critics Section, it is certainly a great joy that our decisions to award the Andrzej Nardelli Award are not misguided, and I say this in the context of Marcin Hycnar, the 2006 recipient of this award. I thought the same last year, when our laureate was Karolina Kamińska, recognized for her debut in Neil LaBute’s play “In a Dark Dark House” at the Słowacki Theatre in Kraków, directed by Marcin Hycnar. Now this award is going to Ewa Jakubowicz for her role as Shakespeare’s Juliet, also at the Słowacki Theatre and also directed by Marcin Hycnar. So our laureate is not only an accomplished actor, but also a director who knows how to choose debuting actresses.

Congratulations, and we wish you continued success! More information is available on Ewa Jakubowicz’s official Facebook profile.
