On Wednesday, December 28, we received the following photographs from a Reader, accompanied by the note:
Please look into the matter of keeping the self-service car wash clean. I believe this company damages the image of Bolesławiec. There is an allotment-garden area behind the fence.
“The matter is more complicated,” Robert Ilski told the istotne.pl service. He is from Auto-Spa, which owns the car wash near Tesco in Bolesławiec. “This area does not belong to us, but that is not the point. We have some ‘well-wishers’ among the allotment gardeners who regularly dump rubbish on us and call the municipal police. We do not generate the waste. It is not our rubbish, but we clean it up anyway.”
As Robert Ilski added, the photographs we received from the Reader are already out of date. What is more, the company suspects that one of the allotment gardeners was the very person who sent us the photographs. The conflict between the car wash and the allotment gardeners has reportedly been going on for two or three years. “At first they agreed to the car wash, but then they changed their minds,” the Auto-Spa representative points out.
